Wounded Alleluia. What a beautiful description of the tension we feel as we walk through this broken life yet in step with our loving God and His creation.

Dear friend, I found myself humming the beautiful song Hallelujah as I read this. Wounded, indeed, but also grateful. And your words and reflective invitation is to hear the music and see the dance of pivoting from the steps of joy and then of sorrow and then back to joy and again to sorrow. Because we are held by the Lover of our souls, we need not fear loosing our balance or falling in this dance that feels like it is always on the very edge of life itself, because He leads. Hmmm another song to hum, He Leadeth Me 🎶✨

I just discovered the feature where your article is read. It allowed me to put the phone down, watch my trees waving their branches in praise, watching the sun set through the trees and thinking about your post, my wounded alleluia and realizing -- no matter what. God is good. No matter what the heart test shows Tuesday, it will still be an alleluia-- maybe a wounded one, but still an alleluia trusting in God's wise bestowment. Alleluia

I’m so glad you found that feature of Substack. No matter what… that is the core of a wounded Alleluia!
