I set a goal: downsize my books. I have too many.
I will keep 100 books. That is all.
I will scour the shelves; put most in boxes and haul them to places for their new homes.
There are many reasons for doing this: simplicity; decluttering my study; make wall space for art I love and more.
But there are deeper reasons— reasons that I have arrived at now after wanting a more spacious life.
This will not be easy. It’s a daunting challenge.
To keep 100 books seems impossible.
So, I turned to poetry to help me in my decision. I work through my love of my books; how I’ve grown and transformed because of reading them and calling them friend and companion. And I resolved my dilemma by sharing the new, living book I’m enjoying now in this season of my life.
See what you think!
See if you can relate.
See if you think this goal strange.
See if you might be inspired to join me in this challenge.
