For the first time, I’m providing an audio of this particular Substack. Let me know what you think of this and if it is helpful…
We are living in a time of high tension and low tolerance. Our patience feels thin. Our inner reserves can feel empty. We may find that we react rather than respond. We get hooked and triggered rather than show a long-suffering kind of love. We speak too soon and listen too little.
We need a blessing. In these days of negativity, a blessing is the antidote for our bottoming out and running on empty. A blessing are words spoken over you that can become like oil running down your head and onto the ground. That oil brings a healing to the dark spaces within us. That oil is a spiritual symbol that we are not in this world alone. The good words, when spoke over us and into us take root in the most vulnerable places within our heart. These good and wonderful words become like water poured into our dry and aching quadrants of the human heart.
We need such words.
We long to hear such words.
We ache to receive these words.
Why?
Because every soul needs a blessing to thrive and flourish.
So I wrote an Easter Blessing! I hope you’ll read this; receive this and live in this blessing at Easter Time.
I’m sending this particular Substack to everyone that has subscribed.

Easter Blessing
by Stephen W. Smith
For all whose dreams have died;
May there come new tendrils of a fresh vision.
For all whose hopes have vanished;
May there be an inkling of a new possibility.
For all who have lost a great love;
May the cracks in your heart be filled with solace.
For all who are riddled with anxiety;
May you be held in the arms of flourishing peace.
For all who have lost their way;
May a threshold appear before you with assuring invitation.
For all whose purpose in life feels barren;
May twinges of tenacity be felt deep in your heart.
For those who do not believe;
May you be given a glimpse into the unknown that will capture you.
For those who are alone;
May the presence of Love hold you and you will let yourself be held.
For those who are at their end;
May a new beginning unfold for you this very day.
For those who feel more dead than alive;
May a sense of renewal be birthed within your beautiful soul.
For those who are in despair;
May the morning sun evaporate the cloud of darkness which shadows you.
For those whose health is failing:
May the dis-ease be assuaged with abiding assurance.
For those who are in search for their people;
May our people become just this: that we are the Easter people and Alleluia is our song.
Powerful ! I also like the audio
Hallelujah is our song. Amen and many thanks for this Easter poem.
