I’ve written this poem out of the treasure in my heart to put in a poem what I’ve spent my life trying to understand: Belovedness.

If you’re new to me, that might be a new word for you. But if you’ve traveled with us, then you know that belovedness is the hingepin to my life’s work—the greatest theme of our work together in marriage and through Potter’s Inn.

I hope this poem will offer insight, rest from striving and the conviction to be ourselves!

Simply put, belovedness will mess with you. You’ll never get over it. It will penetrate the deepest levels of your soul. At least, this has been my journey.

I hope you’ll enjoy.

I’d be particularly interested in how the poem stirs you…. a line you didn’t expect…a phrase that arrested your heart as you read—-a stanza you want to remember.

And of course, you can leave Gwen a comment as well. She painted the lovely image here.

Blessings
