I am on a Celtic pilgrimage. It is a Camino de Iona. Pilgrims have come here for 1600 years to do what I am doing now. It’s my time to begin again.

I am finding my way forward and through. Coming here, the first two days have invited and required me to deal with the ballast in my heart— facing some issues that felt weighty— holding me back—slowing me down.

So I’ve been sorting through seventy years of luggage. It was a necessary invitation to do so!

My poem reflects my jettisoning what I needed to let go of in order to keep moving forward.

Perhaps my words might become a helping hand to pull you through.
