Baby Steps in a Modern Age

Remembering the essential steps of caring for your soul

In the complicated world we are all navigating these days, it is easy to forget the few, essential baby steps, every human needs to find their equilibrium.

I am not above or beyond needing to remember my own baby steps. All of us get thrown off course and often, a simple course correction; an attitude adjustment; a reminder to take a baby step instead of giant leaps might be all that is needed.

I wrote this poem to remind myself and perhaps remind those of you who might read this poem of the few essential baby steps to take today; this week and every day we can we feel like a downward spiral is just ahead.

Sometimes in a complicated world, we need to remember the simple things to stay alive.
