One of the ways we practice the care of our souls in these uncertain times is to move out together into beauty; to walk trails of dirt; to bask in sunshine; to breathe fresh, pure air; to laugh; to see and be seen; to listen and to be listened to; to know and be known; to receive the good tidings of the mountains; to walk in the glory of creation; all of this—to “practice resurrection.”
Join us on the epic Camino de Blue Ridge. In September 2025, 20 pilgrims will saunter in the Blue Ridge mountains together. We will lodge in a country inn; enjoy home cooked meals; sit by slow burning fires and walk the trails in the Piscah National Forest; Mountain to Sea Trail and DuPont Forest as well as the Appalachian Trail. Poetry, conversations and slow time will restore our hearts and care for us our souls.
All the details are here. Application is now open! Space is limited to 20 pilgrims.
Gwen and I, along with Peter Ivey are excited to invite you to join us for this unique pilgrimage, modeled after the historic pilgrimages in Spain, France, Italy, and Portugal.
As a Substack Subscriber, you are among the first to see this and to be invited to join a band of pilgrims set on pilgrimage for some days together in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.
